Needing to see a doctor outside normal hours, when you're on holiday or when the Dee St practice is fully booked can be stressful. That's why we've partnered with Practice Plus, an online GP service.
Practice Plus has been developed to ease some of the pressure that 's facing primary healthcare services in New Zealand. It enables you to book an online consultation with a GP, at a time that suits you. You connect to the service via your phone, tablet or laptop.
Practice Plus is available weekdays 5pm until 10pm, and weekends and public holidays from 8am to 8pm. The GPs you talk to will have access to hospital documents, a summary of your regular clinician patient notes, lab results, and prescribing history.
How it works:
Register for Practice Plus at www.practiceplus.nz (it only takes a couple of minutes)
Choose to wait in a queue for the first available GP appointment, or book an appointment at a time that suits you.
Enter your pre-payment details.
Practice Plus will send you confirmation of your appointment time and a reminder 15 minutes before your appointment.
After your appointment, any prescription is emailed to the pharmacy of your choice.
